Unmanned Watercrafts

Unmanned watercrafts used as equipment rack for survey are characterised by low costs for material, mass, energie and manpower. Without problems they reach all territoral waters and coastlines. These watercrafts are predistinated for dangerous waters like lakes originated by surface mining, quarry ponds (pH-value, ... ) and also areas of shallow water. They can be moved quickly because of their low mass and ability to deconstruct into components. Even on strong frequented waterways they allow easy and save surveys.
Surfboards (single or as catamaran) are used as floats. They are powered by two 500 W electric motors which prove an excellent manoeuvring ability. The catamaran is based on a flexible rack to avoid mechanic twisting and movement of the survey-technic (sonar, sampling point devices).

Typical values for the Singleboard (40 kg with motors) and catamaran (85 kg with motors) :
  • 80 Ah-Pb-GEL-accumulator (1 x / 2 x 30 kg), operating time 2 – 8 h
  • v max = 2 m/s, stepless forward/backward, turn on the spot, 40 MHz-remote control (~ 1000 m)
  • draught 0,35 m, Singleboard 3 x 1,3 m, catamaran 3 x 3 m
  • assembly/disassembly „snap in“ and elasticated, without tools/single parts
